Get Em' Quick Afore They's Gone

Rotated to South declarer: originally board: 15
1 fewer than two diamonds

West thought it possible that with diamond shortness, hearts would conversely there be.
North hadn't splintered, so there too hearts seemed likely.
Perhaps East could ruff a 2nd round of hearts.
It wasn't to be.
With such diamonds and of the auction two keycards outstanding suggested, and declarer advertising no second diamond to lose and diamonds apparently dividing no worse than 4:2, a club towards an imagined A seemed circumspect and a better than average score expected for not leading a trump as might have resulted in 5 diamonds, 5 spades and a perhaps 1 heart ruff and 1 club.
Such petty eagerness met with disillusion when South had not trump spot small enough for the feat.
"Must be average then."
  15> 7 3 8 3 3 0 6 3 3
          50 -450 100 -450 ---- -450 ---- -480 -420 -450 -450

"Nope...not even" the scoresheet further disillusioned.
